This stuff is strong enough that you will almost think that your product was glued to your subsurface. One of the biggest advantages of a semi-permanent installation with this strong commercial grade tape is that it offers the security of adhesive, but you still have the option of removing it and taking the product with you to any future locations (whether you are moving to a new home or if you decide to change the area you cover).  It also saves you the trouble of dealing with adhesive, which for home owners can be a big plus.   Our double-sided tape (Orcon DS-PS) can also be used to install our Tiles.  Although our 1 inch rubber tile flooring has interconnecting pins for a semi-permanent applications, our 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch do not have any kind of interconnecting mechanism.  However, the option of using 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch tiles would not need to be eliminated for people who do not want to use adhesive.  If the rubber tiles are fit snugg up to all four walls, in a tight fit, typically the weight of the tiles will be enough to help keep them in place. For areas with a limited amount of foot traffic (home gym), glue is not needed.

However, obviously you would want something on at the doorways, or on the edges that are not supported by walls.  This is where the double-sided seaming (i.e. carpet) tape will come in handy.  We have carefully selected our double-sided carpet tape to be strong, and wide.  At 5 inches wide, you can lay down the tape and use it to actually connect the seams of your rubber flooring, whether it be rolls or tiles.

Due to popular demand, we have begun carrying double-sided seaming tape.  This product can be used for semi-permanent applications of our rubber flooring and matting products.  Double-sided seaming tape is the solution for areas where you do not want a permanent installation, or for home owners and residential applications when permanent installation can be more trouble than it is worth.

Double-sided seaming tape can be used with our Elephant Bark Rolled Rubber Flooring.  As a rolled flooring, typically our Elephant Bark is heavy enough that the sheer weight of the four foot wide section, is enough to hold the product in place.  However, double-sided seaming tape adds extra security as far as ensuring that the product does not curl up or present a tripping hazard.  We do feel obligated to inform our clients that our double-sided seaming tape is an industrial grade product.  This means that you do NOT want to use it on laminate flooring, hard wood floors, or any floor with a finish that you want to preserve.  This double-sided tape would rip up the finish along the tape when undoing installation.  However, if you are installing our rubber flooring product onto cement, asphalt, or a wooden sub-floor, (which you are not concerned with the finish) our double-sided tape could be just the trick.
