1/4” Thick Recycled Rubber Sheet: This 6.4mm thick is an ideal choice when any rubber sheet is required. More durable than neoprene, less expensive than any other rubber sheet, and perhaps more UV resistant than EPDM, this recycled rubber sheet should be considered anytime hard rubber products are needed.

The Size Effect: The intrinsic tensile strength of any rubber material is usually not associated immediately with its thickness. But thickness in a rubber part plays a large role in its protective qualities. All rubber strength properties like tensile, wear and breakage are lower the thicker the rubber sheet. This is the appropriately named size effect. A 1/4” thick recycled rubber sheet presents extremely high protective, i.e., tensile, qualities for the money. At 50% of the cost of synthetic rubber sheets, yet this recycled rubber sheet/roll possibly performs better. By increasing the thickness of a rubber sheet there is more material is available to resist any impact or load. This increased thickness disperses the burden over a larger area and reduces the strain.
