Since coconuts typically grow in extreme, tropical climates, it comes as no surprise that coir doormats have a long list of outdoor resistances. Durable Backing:  Each cute flower mat comes equipped with a heavy-duty PVC backing. We use hard, waterproof PVC to back our coir doormats to ensure the mats are used safely. PVC enhances traction, which keeps the mat from sliding around your doorstep. The backing also contains any excess moisture to ensure it doesn’t spill all over your porch. This helps to prevent slips both on the mat, and in the area around it. The PVC backing helps the flower mat hold onto moisture, dirt, and debris that is wiped off of shoes so it doesn’t become a hazard again. Coir doormats are also very easy to clean! Simply shake the mat outdoors or vacuum it for an even deeper cleaning.
