Product Description
This 72″ wide black neoprene material offers all of the excellent qualities of neoprene rubber in a wider and more capable package. These sheets of neoprene are a blend of different rubbers, with styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) and nitrile rubber mixed in with the neoprene. This serves to give our gasket neoprene material a better level of durability and reliable resistance capabilities against some oils and chemicals. In addition to the oil and chemical resistance of neoprene, it can also be used in some outdoor applications thanks to its resistance against ozone. Due to its quality and size, this 72” wide flexible neoprene sheet is ideal for use in industrial applications that need require large gaskets, bumpers, pads, and seals. 72” Wide Sheet: This black neoprene sheet is specifically made to be 72” wide. The reason for this is because the standard 36” or 48” wide sheet rolls cannot satisfy the requirements of every application. We make 72” wide sheets of neoprene available so that you do not have to order too many materials for your job. It will help make sure that you have more to work with at a lower cost, minimizing the chances of you being stuck with unused leftover material. A standard roll of 72” wide flexible neoprene is well suited for large-scale industrial applications.
Good Resistance: The oil and chemical resistance of neoprene is in very popular with consumers. Being a synthetic elastomer, it comes with good resistance characteristics against some oils and chemicals. This feature comes in handy for industrial applications that see the presence of abrasive oils and chemicals. As a bumper, pad, or gasket, neoprene is well suited to performing in the presence of such hazards. It also possesses a good level of resistance against ozone.
Flexible Neoprene: These wider sheets of neoprene have a durometer of 55-65. Although they are not the hardest rubber on the market, they are still tough enough to withstand the physical impacts that often come with industrial use. More importantly, however, is their flexibility. With a durometer rating of 55-65, these sheets of black neoprene sacrifice a little durability for better levels of flexibility. This gives you an easier material to work with, as a sheet of this 72” wide neoprene is better suited for use in areas that need a bit of flexibility.
