The Mr. Air® Sweeper Company, known as Masco® in short, provides many sweeper vehicles for the large street sweeping industry in America. We offer a couple of different kits for the Masco® trucks and one such Masco® sweeper flap kit is the Masco® Type B. It is often used to sweep areas such as parking lots and strip centers. This is the less durable of the two varieties of rubber kits offered by Rubber-Cal. An important part of these vehicles are the rubber flap kits attached to them. These rubber flaps are crucial in assisting in the sweeping process. They can help contain the debris and prevent it from being blown everywhere. Unfortunately, OEM Masco® parts can be prohibitively pricey for some operators. Rubber-Cal is proud to offer an affordable alternative to the more expensive brand name rubber street sweeper parts.
Tough Skirtboard Rubber: Our curtain kits for the Masco® Type B are made of tough and durable skirtboard rubber. This synthetic elastomer is a combination of SBR and Gum rubber. It is widely used for industrial and construction applications because of its superior durability. That durability is present in these street sweeping curtains. Due to their skirtboard rubber material, these flaps will be able to resist the physical abrasions that may come in forms such as rocks and gravel.
Two Piece Flap Kit: The curtain kit for the Masco® Type B contains two rubber flaps, one for the front and one for the rear. They can easily be attached onto the Masco® sweeper. It is important to note that the rear rubber flap is 1/2” thick. This gauge will give the rear flap a bit more durability against any rough and abrasive physical objects that may come its way.
The Affordable Alternative: Street sweeping vehicles are often owned and operated by independent contractors. For many, this is part of their professional livelihood. In the event that they need new rubber Masco® parts for their Type B sweeper, they could go directly to the dealer to get new parts. However, the brand name street sweeper parts can be very costly for some operators. Rubber-Cal recognizes this concern and provides rubber flap parts that can be used as Masco® parts.
