They each possess a high durometer rating, which means that they provide for enhanced levels of durability against physical abrasions and indentation but are overall less flexible and elastic. Specifically, it is cloth-inserted rubber that allows for the curtain to retain its shape thanks to the cloth fabric that is inside the rubber. As a result, the flap rubber part will not deform or drag on the vehicle.
