Product Description
Light Brown “Terra-Flex Sport” rolls are 4ft wide rubber flooring rolls that are available in 10ft, 15ft and 25ft lengths. This rubber floor is 5mm (just under 3.16”) thick and is designed for fitness facilities of all types.
Does Rubber Flooring Need to be Glued Down?
Rubber flooring products do not need to be glued down. Since 5mm thick rubber flooring is heavy enough to stay down due to its weight, all that is needed is a two-side carpet tape to hold down the perimeter of the space you are covering. Double-sided carpet tapes make the installation process easier since it can be done by any consumer, and it removes the need for an installer. You would only use glue with rubber flooring when installing in a commercial location where foot-traffic is not light, and a permanent installation is needed.
What Do you Put Under Rubber Flooring?
When installing rubber flooring rolls on concrete or wood, there is no underlayment needed. Rubber flooring itself is generally thick, in this case 5mm thick, and it does not require addition sub-flooring which will give it depth and comfort. This is another reason why rubber flooring is cost effective.

As sports moved indoors, especially in the modern era, the availability of comfortable and protective floors became a necessity. Hence, the marriage of recycled rubber floors and sports activities was born. |
